Maya
Day one done! I started at half past eight and finished at four. I had to wear a blue top, like the vet nurses. I fed the rabbits and cleaned the cages. I'm tired, but happy!
Leo
Well, my day started badly. I didn't hear my alarm, so I missed my bus. I was twenty minutes late on my first day!
Amira
Oh no, poor you! My day was great. I started at quarter past eight. I had to wear smart clothes, so no jeans and no trainers. I read stories with the children all morning.
Conor
My shift was from eight till four. I wore a black T-shirt and an apron. I cleaned tables and made about a hundred sandwiches. My hands still smell of onions!
Leo
But I didn't just send a text. I phoned my supervisor, Dee, and said sorry. She was really nice about it. She just said, “Thanks for calling. Leave a bit earlier tomorrow.”

And guess what? On Friday at ten past four, I'm reading the “What's on” news. It's only two minutes, but it's live on the radio! You have to listen!
Conor
Brilliant, Leo! I finish at four on Friday. So come to the café at ten past four. The radio's always on there, so we can all listen together!
