Callum
Good morning from the boys' tent! Did you hear that wind in the night? Our tent shook for hours, and the weather app shows a strong wind warning for the sea today.
Priya
Oh no! I've just walked down to the beach hut with Dan. The red flag is flying on the beach, so kayaking at ten o'clock is cancelled because the waves are too high.
Isla
That's a shame, Priya, I know how much you wanted to go kayaking! What are we going to do instead this morning?
Priya
Dan had a great idea! He called the activity centre in the village, and we're going to use their indoor climbing wall at half past ten! We can walk there along the forest path.
Sam
Indoor climbing sounds wicked! Also, because of the wind, we mustn't light the campfire tonight. Instead, we'll cook our pasta dinner inside the old stone barn at six o'clock.
Callum
Before we leave for the village, Dan says we all have to put extra metal pegs into our tent ropes so the wind doesn't blow our tents away!
