Hey guys! I've just put our band name, Stage Four, on the sign-up sheet outside the music room! The school talent show is on Friday evening, and twelve acts have already signed up.
Kayla
Awesome! Back home in Seattle, I sang in our middle school fall concert, and I've practised the guitar chords for our song all weekend. Wait—do we have to wear school uniform on stage?
Ollie
Ha ha, 'fall concert'—you mean the autumn concert, Kayla! No, we can wear our own clothes: black trainers and denim jackets. I've already asked Mr Davies if we can use the school drum kit.

Black sneakers and denim jackets—got it!
Chloe
I've learned the bass line from start to finish, too, and I haven't missed a single note today! But I've never played in front of two hundred people before, so my stomach already feels funny.

Don't worry, Chloe, we're on stage together! Oh, and the first prize is an afternoon in a real recording studio in Brighton, so let's give it our best shot!
