More details
Ivy
Take readings at nine in the morning, from Monday to Friday. Write the date, time and observer’s initials. The thermometer stays in the shaded stand beside the garden fence.
Dan
Monday’s temperature was twelve degrees Celsius at nine. Tuesday’s was fourteen degrees at the same time. Those are observations at our school, not temperatures for the entire town.
Mei
The gauge showed three millimetres of rain on Monday and no rain on Tuesday. I wrote zero millimetres for Tuesday, rather than leaving the box empty.
Cole
Tuesday’s forecast mentioned a possible shower, but none reached our gauge during the recorded period. We can note the difference without pretending a forecast can promise rain at every point.
